Hello!
My name is Julia,
I'm from Norway but have been living and studying in Denmark for the past five years.
I am currently a 3rd year student at The Animation Workshop in Viborg Denmark.
Although my education has given me a background in character animation, during my studies I have also developed a love for 2D VFX animation, and have started trying to learn it outside of the ordinary class curriculum.
It has now become something I wish to start specialising in during my first years in the industry.

The Animation Workshop - VIA University - Bachelor of Arts
I'm currently attending the bachelor in Character Animation where I've been learning character animation (both 2D and 3D), as well as how to work in teams to produce short films.
2022
The Animation Workshop -The Drawing Academy (Portfolio) - Course
This was a supplementary course after "The Drawing Academy Classical", where I attended multiple week long courses covering a wide array of subjects relating to animation, such as; character design, perspective, drawing for animation etc.)

The Animation Workshop - The Drawing Academy Classical - Course
The Drawing Academy is a semester long, classical drawing course, where we were taught anatomy and how to draw the human form from observing live models.

For our graduation film (currently in progress) I am in charge of leading the team in regards to the style, and the 2D VFX animation. I am also a character and VFX animator.

Duel at Dawn - The Animation Workshop - Student
Duel at Dawn is a comissoned 3D film produced at T.A.W. for the National Museum of Denmark. I was responsible for the art direction; making a style guide and guiding the art team.
I did some of the 2D VFX animation and was part of helping teach the team. I also did one 3D animated shot.

The Longing - The Animation Workshop - Volunteer
I volunteered as an additional animator for the team of "The Longing" directed by Alexandre Daumerie; one of the previous bachelor films at T.A.W., where I did a couple of shots of waves.

Arcadia - Volunteer
Arcadia is an independent 2D animated musical short film, directed by Anton Skogberg.
I did character and 2D VFX animation, as well as supervising 2D VFX.

Fruity Jams - The Animation Workshop - Student
Fruity Jams was our first project as students at T.A.W. and was part of a course aimed at making a short animated film for children between the ages of 4 and 6. I did 2D animation and some visual development.
2022
3D artist and animator
Assistant to Vilde Von Krogh
I worked as an assistant to the artist Vilde Von Krogh, where I was tasked to create an animation of a blood moon eclipse, as part of her installation for the opening of the norwegian national museum.
I made the moon and animated it in blender. The end result was a 30min blood moon eclipse projected onto Kroghs installation.

I enjoy playing volleyball, the bass guitar and Table-Top-RPGs.
